i'm sorry you miss your dad, and i understand you feeling like seafood is a connection that you have to him. we connect food to a lot of emotions, traditions, family members, etc. i know that i definitely have my foods that i associate with my parents. i'd still encourage you though to consider trying to stop eating seafood again. perhaps there's another food that makes to feel connected to your dad? or depending on what kind of seafood you like, you may be able to make vegetarian versions, or at least make similar recipes without including the seafood. i think one of the best ways to look into this is to type the name of the food you like along with the word "vegan" or "vegan recipe" into a google and see what you find. i tend to have good luck doing this. and then you'd still be reminded of your dad, but you'd also be incorporating your beliefs about not eating animals.

wow, that's awesome that you do so much to look out for how to not support animal cruelty. good for you -- the animals are always lucky when someone puts effort into helping them. why do you still eat fish though? if you were to stop eating fish too, in addition to saving the lives of those animals, you would be able to then call yourself a vegetarian, which is a powerful statement to be able to make that shows people that you don't support killing animals.

cool :) are you vegetarian or vegan? or interested in any other ways of helping animals? i've been busy with a lot of work. i'm really involved in some new projects that Action for Animals is doing, so that's been taking a lot of time, but i'm also really excited about the stuff.
